Your Windows file should still be there if you have not installed Ubuntu to format or partition.
When you copy files from Windows on a USB flash drive, thanks to Ubuntu 9,10, please follow these instructions: This process can vary with a different distribution or a different version of Ubuntu.
After the start of the live CD, select "Ubuntu tries to make no changes to their team." If on the desktop, go to the panel at the top of the screen and select locations and get on the list for filesystems. Each file is a separate partition on the hard drive. Click on any file system and an icon on the desktop. Click on the icon and look in the FIES, until you see the Windows files.
The details and scroll through the folders until you find the WANt copy outside the unit. Around them to a USB flash drive to copy your USB key and return to the scene to leave the list and find the entry for USB. Click on it and display a different icon on the desktop. Click on the USB icon and a window opens and displays the files from the USB. You can drag and drop files onto the Windows partition on the USB connection.
Good luck

I do not understand what you mean by "search for media"? If you run Ubuntu, go to My Computer (the browser) and check the Windows partition. Here are all your data and copy it to your USB flash drive or storage to an external USB hard drive.

If you opt for the "My Documents", which are located at: C: \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ Documents and Settings \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ UserXP \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ u0026lt - The UserXP is my current user, so that if a user named "Marry" Enter the folder, a virgin, "My Documents" and you will see.
